Impact

It is widely observed that, at a grassroots level, women and youth are leading the way in community participation. Their role has been critical in defining their own communities’ needs and implementing them in spite of facing significant challenges.   Many small, local initiatives have no funding beyond donations from local patrons and are lacking in institutional support with some of them not even being recognised for the work they do.

Impact is a voluntary association of civil society organisations.  It provides an opportunity for different organisations to network and exchange ideas and experiences about the work they do and where they can develop their own set of connections with other organisations of interest to them.

Impact is a non-political, non-partisan forum which aims to provide advocacy to members in areas where they need it, helps them to prioritize and target their work, and sensitizes communities to important social issues which may be touched upon in their work.
